The snowfalls in mid-December, along with the cold and sunny weather of most days of this holiday, have favored an increase of up to 39% in visitors compared to last season.
From January 2nd to 5th, at the INEFC Barcelona, FGC Turisme will showcase the range of snow and sports activities in La Molina, Vallter, Vall de Núria, Espot Esquí, Port Ainé and Boí Taüll, which are already in full swing these days. People who visit the FGC stand will be able to live immersive experiences for all audiences: immerse themselves in the descent of a ski slope or a bike park at full speed with virtual reality glasses and try out the ski simulators.
The Ripolla resort welcomes Christmas with workshops and games for children and celebrates the Tió and New Year's Eve festivities. As a novelty, this season includes new night experiences with snow machines and high-altitude dinners in the new Braseria Les Marmotes. For the holidays, Vallter offers ideal conditions, with 4 open slopes, thicknesses of 20 to 30 cm and 5 ski lifts in operation. The resort hopes to expand the skiable area if conditions allow.
The space, located at an altitude of 2,535 meters, has been expanded with a new dining room and a new terrace, each measuring around 50 square meters, and the kitchen has also been renovated and expanded. The project took into account that the aesthetics were respectful of the environment and that the new equipment was energy efficient.
La Molina, Vall de Núria, Vallter, Espot Esquí, Port Ainé and Boí Taüll will open their ski areas between tomorrow, Friday, December 13, and the following Saturday, after snowfalls that have left thicknesses ranging between 20 and 60 cm of snow. In addition, if conditions permit, the ski areas will be expanded.
