    Vallter 2000 is located close to the village of Setcases, in the Ripollès region of Catalonia.

  • 2. What are the opening hours of the ski resort and customer service offices?
    • The Vallter ski resort opens the ski lifts to the public at 09.00 h and closes them at 16.45 h.
    • The ticket office is open from 09.00h to 16.00h
    • Ski resort, head offices and customer service offices are open from 09.00 h to 17.00 h.

  • 6. Can I get to the resort on public transport?

    Vallter runs a Ski Bus (TEISA buses) on Saturdays and Sundays. Detailed information can be found in the ‘Transport to the slopes’ section of this website.

  • 7. Where can I buy my Vallter ski pass?

    You can buy your Vallter ski pass in-person from the ticket office at the bottom of the resort. You can also buy it online through this website.

    If you have a rechargeable PiriNeu365 card you do not need to collect your pass from the ticket office: just buy it online and hit the slopes!

  • 8. Is there a ski pass for beginners?

    No, being a small resort there is no exclusive ski pass for beginners that only provides access to the nursery slopes. However, the day pass price is very reasonable. You can ski the whole resort for just € 31 for adults and children € 23.50. 

  • 9. From what time is the afternoon ski pass valid?

    The afternoon ski pass can be used from 13.00 h onwards. It costs € 25 for adults, € 19 for children.

  • 10. Where can I purchase and collect my season ski pass?

    You can purchase the season pass preferably via the Vallter online shop or at the resort offices. Season passes must be collected from the building at the bottom of the resort.

  • 11. What should I do if I have an accident on the slopes?

    If you witness an accident, you should mark the place where the accident took place by arranging skis in the snow in the shape of a cross. You should then notify the piste service at the nearest lift. If you have an accident yourself, it is important to protect yourself and keep warm.

  • 12. Does the ski pass include insurance in case of an accident?

    No. You can add the accident insurance when purchasing the ski pass, online or at the ticket office, at a cost of €3.50/day.

  • 14. Where are the beginner slopes located?

    The beginners’ area at Vallter is located primarily in the Morens plain (Pla de Morens) area of the resort.

  • 15. Is it compulsory to wear a helmet on the slopes?

    While not compulsory, wearing a helmet is highly recommended for adults and especially children. It significantly reduces the possibility of suffering a serious head injury as a result of an accident whilst practising winter sports.

  • 16. What activities are there for families with young children?

    The best activities for families with young children are those organised by the Esquirol mini-club and the sledging slope in the Sledging Park. You can use the filter on this website's activities page to find the most suitable activities for your family.

  • 17. Can I park my motorhome at Vallter?

    Yes, there is a motorhome parking area in the lower car park at 1.900 m (P6). A chairlift links the car park to the ski station between 8.30 h and 9.30 h.

  • 18. If we have to park in the lower parking lots, how do we access the slopes?

    If you park in car parks 5 or 6 and bring your ski or snowboard equipment, you can go up directly with the Enric Planella chairlift. Otherwise, there is the shuttle bus, which runs the service between car parks, to the base of the station. There is a price of €2 round trip, which will be refunded when you buy the ski pass.

  • 19. How does the Llançadera Bus work?

    Continuous journeys from car park 5 to car park 1 from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Free if you present your ski pass. Otherwise the price of the ticket is 2€ (round trip). The sledge ticket is not valid.

  • 20. What parking facilities are available at the resort?

    Vallter has 6 parking areas with capacity for around 950 vehicles. We also have monthly parking space passes or for the whole season. In order to access car parks 1, 2 and 3 at the base of the resort, the prior purchase of the pass or the season pass is mandatory (* ).

    Parking lots 4 and 5 will be available for people without a pass or when there are no more spaces left in parking lots 1, 2 and 3.

    Motorhomes, even if they have a pass, must park in P6 and access the base of the station with the Llançadora Bus or the TC Enric Planella.

  • 21. Do I have to book ski lessons in advance?

  • 22. Who should I contact if I what to book a snowshoe or guided ski mountaineering trip?

  • 23. Where is the ski rental shop?

    The ski rental shop is located at the resort base, next to parking 1.

  • 24. Can you hire snowshoes and sledges at the resort?

    Yes, snowshoes can be hired at the ski rental shop. Sledges can be rented from the sports shop located next to the Information Point.

  • 25. Do you have to reserve rental equipment in advance?

    No, you can rent your equipment on the day. It is mandatory to present the DNI or passport.

  • 26. Is the sledging slope open every day?

    The Sledging Park is only open on weekends and bank holidays.

  • 27. Is the sled included in the SLED TRACK ticket price?

    No. The entry ticket to the Sledging Park includes access to the area, use of the conveyor belt lifts for 3 hours and accident insurance.

  • 28. Is the ski pass used to enter the SLEDGE TRACK? I don't hear the answer now

    No, the two activities are separate.

  • 29. Are there lockers to store personal items?

    Yes, lockers that work with a € 2 coin can be found in the washrooms.

  • 30. Is there anywhere I can leave my skis to use the following day?

    Yes, the ski station has overnight ski lockers that fit two sets of ski equipment for 10 € per night.

  • 31. Is there any accommodation at the bottom of the resort?

    No, there is no accommodation in the ski resort itself. The closest accommodation is in Setcases or the Vall de Camprodon. Hostal Pastuira is located 100 m from the chairlift at 1.900 m.

  • 32. Where can I collect ski passes purchased online?

    They can be collected at 3 points in the station:

    1. In car parks 5 and 6 (next to the Xalet track).
    2. In car park 1 (next to equipment rental)
    3. At the bottom of the station (next to the Information Point)
  • 33. Are there any offers for family ski passes?

    Yes, you can buy a discounted 1 or 2-day family pack for 1 or 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. There must be at least 3 passes purchased through the pack.

  • 34. Are there any discounts for large families/single-parents?

    Yes. The discount that will be applied per member will be 10% non-cumulative. With the day passes, you must justify your status as a member of a large family or a single parent by presenting a valid card issued by the Generalitat de Catalunya at the request of station staff at any time.

    The discounts are applied per member from the first pass, it is not necessary for all members of a family to purchase the pass to enjoy the individual discount.

  • 35. Where can I find information about piste conditions?

    You can check it on the website in INFONEU and every day on Twitter.

  • 36. Is there public transport to the station?

    There is only the TEISA SKI-BUS line from Girona to Vallter on weekends and holidays, with stops in different towns.


  • 37. Is there a childminding service available?

    Vallter does not have a nursery for children. However, it has a programme of workshops where children from 3 to 8 years old can have a good time accompanied by their parents. Consult activities.

  • 38. Where can we have lunch

    There are three restaurants in the station. The Cafeteria-Restaurant La Portella where you can enjoy good mixed dishes and pizzas. The Cafeteria Las Marmotas with sandwiches, tapas and pizzas. And the Foodtrcuk specialises in hamburgers and frankfurters.

  • 39. What is the rechargeable PiriNeu365 card and how can I buy it?
  • 40. Is the use of the Ski-Bike or Snow-Bike allowed on the slopes of the FGG mountain resorts?

    The free use of the so-called Ski-Bike or Snow-Bike devices is not allowed on the slopes of the mountain resorts managed by FGC. Except when its use is directly related to people with reduced mobility. Section 14 of the FGC ski resort regulations for use and ski passes is applicable.

  • 41. If the resort closes due to bad weather, am I entitled to a ski pass refund?

    If Vallter ski resort closes due to adverse weather conditions and you have a ski pass with a valid date for the closing day, a refund will be applied in proportion to the daily price paid in the days following the closing day.
